This sprinkle lives in my fridge at all times. As soon as it looks like it is running out the frying pan comes out and another batch is born.
Some people say pepita sprinkle tastes like parmesan but I never call it parmesan because it really isn’t parmesan. What it is though is a fabulously sensational sprinkle to put on anything and everything.

Pasta
Soups – including Greek Lentil soup
Salads
Roast Vegetables
On top of bakes and lasagnes
In pesto

Oh and one very important thing that I almost forgot is that:
Pepitas are a complete protein – so this sprinkle is brilliant to add to everything to add some more protein.
Also 4 tsp of this sprinkle gives you enough B12 for the day. Nutritional yeast is fortified with B12.

Pepita Sprinkle
1 cup pepitas
½ cup nutritional yeast
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
Method
- Place the pepitas in a dry frying pan and place it on the heat until the pepitas start to pop a little. Give it a shake from time to time. Remove from heat and put on a plate or tray to let cool down.
- Once cooled place the pepitas in a food processor with the nutritional yeast, garlic and salt and process until it resembles fine breadcrumbs.
